Week Update

Hey Readers,

This week is going great!  Both the men's and women's basketball teams won last night.  It is always fun going to the basketball games with a huge group of friends and cheering on the team.  This week is also initiation week for my fraternity which is one of the best weeks of the semester!  We have a brotherhood activity every night this week so it can get busy, but it is fun.  I have been starting to really dive in the books because I have three tests next week as well.  I'm not to worried about them but I need to dive a little deeper in the books to be prepared.  Tonight my parents are coming into town to take me out for dinner.  I am excited to see them and spend a little time with them before next week.  The weather has been better which is always nice.  But I better get to reading that pharmacology book before the test sneaks up on me!

Thanks for reading!

Holy Snow!

Hey Everyone,

The snow has finally come!  Yesterday we got 6.8 inches of snow.  I ended up being on call for my clinical and luckily I did not get called in, but now I have to go in tonight.  Its good I can just walk right across the street because that way I don't have to clean all the snow off my car. :)

This week I am looking forward to going to the Men's and Women's Basketball games verse Central on Wednesday night!  I love to watch Kohwaks athletics and its always a fun time to relax with friends.  I am also going to swing by the Third Grade Clay Art Exhibits sometime this week that is happening on campus.  This is an art exhibit that features more than 1,200 third graders from 22 area elementary schools, its a lot of fun to see how excited all the kids get when people are looking at what they did.  I look forward to this every year.

Welcome

Dear Readers,

I am very excited to be blogging my awesome time at Coe with you this semester!  This semester I am taking Nursing Research, Legal and Ethical Issues of Nursing, and Introduction to Concepts of Nursing.  I love all my classes and the best part is my clinical this semester is on the Critical Care Unit at St. Lukes Hospital right across the street.  I have my clinical every Friday or Saturday night from 7pm-3am which is great because I am a night owl.

I am so glad to be back on campus and in full swing, I feel like I'm back at home again!  On tap for this weekend I have clinical on Friday night and Saturday morning I am working for admission.  Saturday night I am getting together with friends to watch the movie Invictus which is an assignment for our May term class.  I am going to South Africa for May term this year and I can't wait.  It is a group of 8 nursing students and 4 biology students.  We will be working with parish nurses, feeding orphans and care points, and education the communities on how to purify water.  It's going to be great

Thanks for reading, and talk to you soon!
